The Pros and Cons of Wet Process Rotary Kiln

The wet process rotary kiln belongs to building material equipment and it is widely used in the industry of metallurgy, chemical, construction, refractory materials, environmental protection and other sectors. The wet process rotary kiln is mainly composed of the cylinder, the supporting device, transmission, movable kiln head, the sealing device of kiln end and coal injection tube and other components. There is a certain degree of inclination between the body of the wet process rotary kiln and the level and the entire kiln body is supported by the riding wheel. The catch wheel device is used to stop the kiln body from moving up and down. As for the transmission, in addition to the main drive, it is also equipped with the auxiliary transmission that is used to avoid the bending and deformation of the kiln when the main power is cut off. The sealing device of the kiln head and kiln end adopts advanced technology, guaranteeing the reliability of the seal. 

It has strong adaptability to the heterogeneous raw materials. If the composition of the raw material is uniform, the working process will be stable, the clinker produced will have high quality and the clinker strength grade will be also high. In addition, there will be little dust in the grinding process, so is the fly ash at the kiln end. However, in the wet process production, the evaporation of 30% to 40% of the moisture, it needs to consume large heat consumption, which will account for 1/2 to 1/3 of the cement cost. When compared with that of the vertical kilns and the dry process rotary kiln, it is higher. Wet production, due to the high heat consumption and large energy consumption and water consumption, the wet cement production has been treated as the restricted eliminated kiln type.
